These terms are an agreement between you and Nguyen Tung Son, who runs Shotjoin as the household business Son Nguyen IT Solutions in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (“we”). They cover the Shotjoin app and its one-time purchase, Unlock Everything. The Privacy Policy (shotjoin.com/privacy) says what happens to your data.
By using Shotjoin, you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, don’t use Shotjoin.
The app and Apple’s license
Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula) is the license for the app itself. These terms add the rules for using Shotjoin and Unlock Everything. Where the two differ, Apple’s agreement governs the license to the app.
What Shotjoin does
- Shotjoin joins a screen recording of scrolling into one long image, and stitches screenshots into a column, a row or a grid. Everything happens on your iPhone.
- Recording, stitching and editing are free. Free saves images of up to 3 screens or photos. Saving an image of 4 or more needs Unlock Everything.
- We work to keep Shotjoin reliable, but we can’t promise it will be free of errors. We may change, add or remove features.
Joins can be wrong
Shotjoin finds where screens meet by itself. On some screens, such as ones with video, moving parts or repeating rows, a join can repeat or drop a line. Shotjoin marks the joins it is unsure of, and you can check every join. Look at your image before you share it or rely on it.
Your content
Your recordings, screenshots and images stay yours, and stay on your iPhone. We never receive them and claim no rights in them.
You are responsible for what you record, join and share. Screens often show other people’s messages, names and numbers: respect their privacy, hide what should stay private, and get consent where the law requires it before you share.
Using Shotjoin fairly
Don’t use Shotjoin to:
- break the law or other people’s rights, including their privacy and intellectual property;
- harass, threaten or deceive people, for example with a faked or misleading conversation;
- make or share sexual content involving minors, hateful content, or content that incites violence;
- get around the free limit or Unlock Everything, or copy, take apart or resell the app, except as the law allows.
Unlock Everything
- Unlock Everything is a one-time purchase through Apple, not a subscription. Apple charges your Apple Account; we never see your card or payment details.
- It lets you save images of any length: 4 or more screens or photos in one image.
- The app shows the price before you buy, in your currency. Prices differ from country to country, and Apple adds the taxes that apply where you live.
- Unlock Everything belongs to your Apple Account. On another iPhone, or after reinstalling Shotjoin, tap Restore Purchase in Settings. It is not shared with Family Sharing.
- Apple handles refunds under its own policies. Ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Changes
We may change these terms. We will post the new version on this page with a new date. When a change matters, we will also say so in the app’s update notes. If you keep using Shotjoin after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
You can stop using Shotjoin and delete it at any time.
Warranty and liability
Shotjoin is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we give no warranties, including that it fits a particular purpose or is free of errors.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or business. Our total liability for all claims about Shotjoin is limited to the greater of what you paid for Shotjoin in the 12 months before the claim and USD 50.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Shotjoin or its content, and has no duty to provide maintenance or support for it. If Shotjoin fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for the app, if any; as far as the law allows, Apple has no other warranty duty for Shotjoin. Apple is not responsible for claims about Shotjoin, including product liability claims, claims that it does not meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection or privacy claims, or claims that it infringes someone’s intellectual property; we are. You confirm that you are not in a country under a U.S. Government embargo or that the U.S. Government has designated as “terrorist supporting”, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Law and disputes
The law of Vietnam governs these terms. Disputes go to the competent courts of Ho Chi Minh City, unless the law of the country where you live lets you, as a consumer, go to a court there. Please write to us first, so we can try to solve the problem.
These terms are written in English and Vietnamese. If the two differ, the English version applies, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
