Record a scroll
- In Shotjoin, tap Scroll Capture, then Start Recording. iOS asks to start the broadcast: tap Start Broadcast.
- Open any app and scroll slowly, from top to bottom.
- Tap the red bar at the top of the screen to stop.
- Go back to Shotjoin. It joins the recording into one long image.
Already have a screen recording in Photos? Tap Choose a Recording, trim it, then tap Join.
Shotjoin cuts the status bar, address bar and tab bar from every capture. Bring them back in Crop, or turn off Settings › Remove bars by itself.
Stitch screenshots
- Tap Stitch Photos. Slide across several screenshots to pick them at once, then tap Add.
- Choose Column, Row or Grid. In a column, Smart join finds and removes the parts that repeat.
- Tap + at either end to add more. When it looks right, tap Next.
Edit
- Check joins. A join that needs a look shows an orange line. Tap it, drag the seam until the two screens meet, then tap Looks Right.
- Crop removes or brings back the status bar, the top bar and the bottom bar.
- Markup draws, writes, adds shapes and images, and hides what’s private. In Hide, Find picks out phone numbers, emails, addresses and card numbers for you.
- Slice cuts a long image into pieces, saved as separate images or one ZIP file.
- Frame puts your image in a phone, with a title and a background.
Save and share
Tap Export, choose PNG, JPEG or PDF, the size and a watermark, then tap Save to Photos, Save to Files or Share. Settings › New exports sets what every export starts with.
Free and Unlock Everything
- Recording, stitching and editing are free. Free saves images of up to 3 screens or photos.
- Unlock Everything saves images of any length: 4 or more screens or photos in one image. It is a one-time purchase, $2.99 in the US, with no subscription.
- You always see the result first. Then unlock, keep editing, or save the first 3.
- Bought it before, or on a new iPhone? Tap Settings › Restore Purchase.
Questions
Where are my captures?
On Captures. Images you haven’t saved or shared yet are under Drafts; the others are under Recent. See All shows every capture. Each one stays for 7 days after your last edit, then leaves the app. Save to Photos to keep an image.
Why does a join need a look?
Shotjoin wasn’t sure where the two screens meet, often because something moved while you scrolled, such as a video or a pop-up. Tap the orange join to check it.
Why does it say “No scrolling found”?
The recording doesn’t scroll, so there is nothing to join. Record again and scroll from top to bottom.
Why does it say “Another screen size”?
A recording or screenshots you add to a capture must come from the same screen. Choose ones made on the same iPhone, held the same way.
Does Shotjoin upload my screens?
No. Everything happens on your iPhone. The recording never leaves it, and Shotjoin deletes the recording once it’s joined.
Why does Shotjoin ask to see all my photos?
So you can pick several screenshots with one slide. With access to only some photos, you can still pick from those. Change it in Settings › Apps › Shotjoin › Photos.
How do I delete a capture?
In All Captures, touch and hold it, then tap Delete. To delete several, tap Select.
How do I remove Shotjoin?
Delete the app. Its captures go with it. Images you saved to Photos or Files stay.
